The Journey:
We will open the first day with an offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth) ceremony the way it’s done in Cabanaconde, then we’ll have a Chicha preparation workshop, home crafted Cacao circle, and Pizza evening to get comfortable while we connect with each other.
On the second day we’ll hike with Llijllas (the cloth that’s traditionally used to carry stuff) to Kallimarka, the ruins where the original village was located before the arrival of the Spanish. At the top we’ll have yoga / somatic expression session and breakfast. Back at the hotel we’ll have a Creative Expression with Natural Materials workshop. During this day we’ll explore and taste diverse local foods.
And later, the highlight of the event - the Wititi dance with local people. The Wititi is a local tradition of Colca Canyon, declared as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO. Local people will teach us how to wear their colorful embroidered dresses (also for men) and we’ll dance all together.
On the third day, after morning yoga session we’ll have a bike downhill tour to the geyser of Pinchollo. On our way back we’ll stop at Cruz del Condor viewpoint to watch the condors, and in a restaurant on the border of the Canyon where condors are passing by for lunch, and we'll play games with colors traditionally played in Carnivals.
In the afternoon we'll taste the Chicha we've prepared on the first day, and a workshop to liberate our creativity, making art with your whole body and soul.
